THE HENDO HOVERBOARD AND THE BEGINNING OF THE FUTURE

Ever since Marty McFly caught anti-gravitational air the 1989 classic Back to the Future II, humanity has been eagerly awaiting the arrival of a real, fully-functional hoverboard. Since then, tinkerers and scientists the world over have launched numbers attempts at creating such a device, and now, after more than 25 years of trying, technology has finally caught up with our far-fetched dreams. Thanks to a startup by the name of Hendo Hover, the hoverboard is finally a real thing that exists in the world that you and I inhabit.

The Hendo Hoverboard was created by Jill and Greg Henderson, a California couple, who hope to put their hover technology in the hands of developers by July 2015. It will come in the form of a white box with hoverboards following a few months later.

If the Kickstarter reaches its funding goal of $250,000 by its deadline of December 15 (which as sure as the sun comes up it will), the first round of Hendo Hoverboards will be available on Oct. 21 of next year.
